On Friday, Sept. 26, the Jesuit High School Sacramento varsity football team beat the Rocklin High School Thunder 20-14 in a thrilling upset. The Marauders were able to deliver a big win for the homecoming game, pleasing the student section.
On Friday, Aug. 29, Jesuit High School Sacramento’s varsity football team defeated the Rio Americano Raiders 35-0 in a lopsided game.
The Jesuit High School Sacramento basketball team took home the school’s very first basketball state title. For the first time since 1994, the Marauders made it to the state final, and they won in dominant fashion. The hard work that Head Coach Tim Kelly, the athletes, and coach staff have put forth directly led to the banner that now hangs in the Barry Gymnasium.
At the beginning of the season, one of the areas of concern was that the roster was incredibly green. However, Amaury McKinney ’25 believes the team succeeded precisely because of this inexperience.

Its scarcity led to it being considered a delicacy in the United States in the early 1800s, but it has since become one of the most common dishes in the world. The prevalence of chicken has caused it to be cheap, allowing people all over the world to obtain it.
On March 29, 2025, the Jesuit High School Sacramento varsity baseball team played the Christian Brothers Falcons at home, in the Baseball-Albie Swingin’ for Life Games, where all ticket sales would go to the Albie Aware Breast Cancer Foundation. The Marauders would win the rivalry game with a score of 5-2.
On March 18, 2025, the Jesuit High School Sacramento varsity baseball team started a three-game series against the Oak Ridge High School Trojans. Then, following a hard-fought 2-1 series win, the Marauders would get tested yet again against the Folsom High School Bulldogs, in a series starting on March 24.
The Marauders used a combination of strong hitting from shortstop Sammy Kane ’26 and first baseman Cade Colombara ’25 and impressive pitching performances from Owen Lesser ’26 and Alex Quigley ’26 to win 5 out of the 6 games.
On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, the Jesuit High School Sacramento varsity basketball team won a thriller against the Destiny Christian Academy Lions. The sold out crowd in the Father Barry Gymnasium witnessed a 65-55 win for the Northern California title. Once again, the team displayed incredible teamwork and a strong sense of pride.
A raucous student section greeted the team as they walked onto the court following the national anthem. After a short delay due to a uniform issue, the game began.
On Friday, Nov. 8, the Jesuit High School Sacramento varsity football team beat the Lodi High School Flames 42-14, advancing to the quarterfinals of the Division 2 CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Football Playoffs.
After forcing a punt on the opening drive of the game, the Marauders started out strong offensively with running back Jack Patock ’25 scoring an 11-yard rushing touchdown early in the first quarter. Kicker Yudiel “Dragon” Mondragon converted the PAT to take an early 7-0 lead.
On Friday, Nov. 1, the Jesuit High School Sacramento varsity football team beat the Whitney High School Wildcats 48-7.
Following a punt from the Wildcats, Jesuit started off the scoring by taking a 7-0 lead early in the first quarter after a 42-yard rushing touchdown from Joshua Rucker ’26 and a made PAT from Yudiel “Dragon” Mondragon.
On Friday, Oct. 11, the Jesuit High School Sacramento varsity football team lost at home to the Folsom High School Bulldogs 55-10.
On the first drive of the game, Folsom moved down the field quickly before punching in a 1-yard rushing touchdown and added a successful PAT, the Bulldogs held a 7-0 lead with 10 minutes to go in the first quarter.
On Friday, Oct. 11, Jesuit High School Sacramento’s varsity football team lost an away game to the Oak Ridge High School Trojans 23-3.
To start the game, Jesuit received the opening kickoff, and drove down the field before fumbling and turning the ball over on the Oak Ridge 23-yard line.
On Friday, Sept. 27, Jesuit High School Sacramento’s varsity football team lost to the Rocklin High School Thunder 52-14.
RHS received the opening kickoff and quickly went down the field to score a 6-yard rushing touchdown, taking a 7-0 lead, with nine minutes to go in the first quarter.
Following a strong 16-11 season, the Jesuit High School Sacramento varsity water polo team aims to continue their success this year. The team believes they can compete at an even higher level by growing in all areas of play.
Last year, the Marauders finished second in the Delta League, and finished fourth in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Division 1 Section Playoffs. This year, Head Water Polo Coach Josh Ford and the team seek to build on their past success.
