Admissions - Apply as a Transfer

Overview

Admissions as a Transfer
How to become a Marauder as a transfer

First, visit and let us show you why Jesuit is unlike any other school in Sacramento—then apply!

The best way to see if Jesuit is a good fit for your family is to walk the campus and talk to students, teachers and coaches.

Also, don’t forget to check the calendar for other events such as Athletic special events, student club workshops, and more!

Open House was in October. If you aren’t looking to transfer this upcoming fall, we strongly recommend attending Open House next fall to see the whole campus activated—clubs, athletics, and academics have booths full of coaches, teachers, and students ready to answer questions and talk about their experience.

Who can transfer?

  • Sophomores and juniors, fall or mid-year transfers if space is available
  • Must have a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA in College Prep level work

Jesuit does not accept senior transfers unless they are coming from another Jesuit high school or are moving from out of state.

When can I apply?

Mid-year applications

Mid-year transfers will be considered on a case-by-case basis by calling the Office of Admissions at (916) 480-2127. Decisions for mid-year transfers are completed prior to the Christmas holiday.

Apply for next fall during the Fall/Winter

All Transfer applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the school year. All admissions decisions are considered conditional upon receipt and review of the applicant’s final transcript.

Late Spring/Summer applications

Wish you had applied for fall? It isn’t too late! While priority applications are now closed, we consider applications through the spring and summer as space allows. While the process is essentially the same, it will have a rolling schedule. So go ahead, and start that application! Remember, you are always welcome to contact Admissions with questions.

Each situation is different, and we are here to answer questions and help you navigate the process.

Please reach out to a member of the Admissions team and let them know which teams your student is currently on and/or interested in at Jesuit. They will make sure you are contacted by someone on the Athletics staff.
