Welcome to the annual Fr. Joseph Barry Christmas Classic Basketball Tournament. The tournament has a long and storied history, as you will see on the pages that follow. Listings of past champions, individual and team records and the all-tournament teams are detailed for you. Also included are profiles and rosters of the teams participating in this year’s tournament. Jesuit High School welcomes all of the visiting teams’ players, coaches and their fans. We hope that both your visit to the Jesuit High School campus in Carmichael and your Fr. Barry Christmas Classic experiences are exciting and memorable.

Barry Basketball Tournament is turning 50 and will have special half-time recognitions of past All-Tourney awardees, MVPs and coaches during the 3-day tournament.

Fr. Joseph F. Barry, S.J., 1917-1987

Father Joseph Barry, S.J., was born and raised in San Francisco. There he attended St. Ignatius High School and later entered the Jesuit Order in 1935. Prior to coming to Jesuit High School, Fr. Barry also taught for many years at Loyola High School in Los Angeles.
