In the afternoon of March 12, 2020, pitcher Tonko Susac ’21 had
just finished one of the best performances of his young baseball
career — pitching six innings and striking out nine hitters to
lead Jesuit High School Sacramento over the nation’s No. 1 ranked
team, De La Salle High School.
Most Jesuit High School Sacramento students have a flex period,
sometimes even two, in their schedule. While flex periods have
always provided students with an opportunity to relax, to work on
homework, and to study, this year’s students who are on campus
are able to do one more thing: play.

Sacramento reopened its campus on Oct. 20. While many
students and teachers have decided to return to campus, others
have opted to stay online for various reasons.
