Freshman Orientation kicks off with a student/parent Mass in the Fr. Barry Gymnasium, Thursday, August 12th at 8:30am, with check-in beginning at 8am.

Following Mass, there will be a short presentation and reception for parents/guardians while students spend the morning with their Big Brothers.  Freshmen will end their orientation with lunch and a walk-through of campus with their Big Brothers. Students can be picked up at 12:30 pm. All of us at Jesuit Sacramento look forward to meeting and praying with you.

Parent/Guardian RSVP

One of the highlights of your student’s Freshman year will be his Freshman Retreat, August 28, 2021, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Because the experience of the Freshman Retreat is so important for new students, participation in the entire retreat is MANDATORY for all Freshmen.

The retreat is led by a group of 110 Seniors who have been trained as retreat leaders. This retreat occurs early in the school year because it is a significant opportunity for Freshmen to develop as a community of friends, to understand the traditions of Jesuit education, and to believe themselves to be a vital part of the Jesuit High School family. Parents and Guardians also have an orientation and lunch on Saturday from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm and are encouraged to then join us at 5:00 pm for the Freshman Family Mass.

Big Brothers

When you start your freshman year at Jesuit you are partnered with a senior. During orientation, he will help guide you through everything from lockers to mass. A good mentor can help your transition to your new school by connecting you and helping you navigate.
