When one door closes, another one opens
“You are never going to walk again; you are never going to move your hands.”
On May 6, 2017, a doctor from the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center uttered these words to Robert Paylor ’15, then a sophomore on the UC Berkeley rugby team. Paylor had sustained a spinal cord injury in the Varsity Cup Championship match against Arkansas State University.
Senior Memory: The last stretch
There is no way we can lose, or so I thought as I awaited the whistle that would signal the start of our second rugby game that day. Our first had been in the morning when we won the semifinal game against our longtime rival Gonzaga High School.

Jesuit lacrosse looks forward to new season
The end of winter and the beginning of spring is possibly the busiest time for the Athletic Department at Jesuit High School Sacramento. As winter sports are entering the playoff season,the nine spring sports are all starting up, including the lacrosse team, one of the most competitive sports in the area.
Jesuit Basketball defeats Ponderosa for semifinal spot
Jesuit High School Sacramento showed why it’s the No. 1 seed in the Division II Sac-Joaquin Section Playoffs when the Marauders handily beat the Ponderosa High School Bruins in the second round of playoffs on Friday, Feb. 21.

To most, it seemed like the 2019 Jesuit High School water polo season got off to a slow start.

Freshman Focus
The Frosh Overnight is the start of every student’s experience at Jesuit High School. The weekend of Aug. 24 saw the class of 2023 begin their high school journeys in the 31st annual Freshman Overnight Retreat.
The focus of the retreat is, of course, on the freshmen, but it could not happen without the participation of the senior Big Brothers. Having already experienced the retreat, the Big Brothers accompany the freshman class as they begin their time at Jesuit.
