Jesuit basketball scores two wins
On Jan. 20 and Jan. 23, the Jesuit High School Sacramento varsity
basketball team played two Delta League games against Franklin
High School and Elk Grove High School.

Folsom High School on Jan. 14 and Archbishop Riordan High School
on Jan. 16.
Jesuit comes up big against Davis
On Jan. 6 and Jan. 7, the Jesuit High School Sacramento Basketball team defeated Sheldon High School and Christian Brothers High School. Both games were blowouts and showcased the team’s amazing ability to score and play well as a team.
Wild West Shootout ends, Fr. Barry Classic begins
The Jesuit High School Sacramento varsity basketball team defeated Damonte Ranch High School and Spanish Springs High School in the Wild West Shootout Tournament that took place in Reno, Nevada from Dec. 1 to Dec. 2. The tournament was supposed to include an additional game against Bishop Manogue High School, but due to weather conditions the game was canceled. Jesuit will play Garces Memorial High School to kick off the Father Barry Classic on Dec. 8.
Varsity cross country runners experience a season of growth
The Varsity Jesuit High School Sacramento Marauders’ 2022 cross country team finished the season winning six races while placing second and 20th in the prestigious Clovis Invitational.
Mr. Lai believes that the growth of the underclassmen played a significant role in the team’s chemistry and success this year.
“The team really got along well and the underclassmen have been stepping up,” Mr.Lai said. “With such a small group of juniors and seniors, more pressure and responsibility has been expected of the sophomores and many of them rose to the challenge.”
Basketball starts season with a big win against Oak Ridge
On Saturday Nov. 26, the Jesuit High School Sacramento varsity basketball team kicked off their season by defeating Oak Ridge High School in a blowout, posting a final score of 67-43.
Head Coach Timothy Kelly notes how the team started the season well, but still thinks they can play better.
“Yeah, I think we played okay,” Coach Kelly said. “We can be a lot better than we are right now. There’s some good enthusiasm; we’re doing some really good things out there, and there are some things that we could still improve upon.”
Jesuit Football’s heads are still up, season comes to a close
The Jesuit High School Sacramento Marauders’ 2022 football season was very successful. The Marauders finished with 9 wins and 3 losses on the season, with a point differential of 370-185.
Jesuit Wins First Playoff Game Against Gregori
On Nov. 5, the Jesuit High School Sacramento varsity football
team beat the Joseph A. Gregori High School Jaguars 38-10.
Jesuit overpowers Davis to advance in San Joaquin playoffs
The Jesuit High School Sacramento varsity football team defeated the Davis Senior High School Blue Devils in a 35-0 blowout.
The team had a very strong win and look to continue their success in the 2022 CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Football Playoffs, with their first game on Saturday, Nov. 5 against Joseph A. Gregori High School.
Jesuit outperformed by Elk Grove in championship game
On Friday, Oct. 21, the Jesuit High School Sacramento varsity football team suited up for the Delta League Championship game against Elk Grove High School. The game was for the delta league championship with EGHS coming out on top by a score of 34-21.
Jesuit looks to take on Elk Grove for Delta League championship
On Friday Oct. 14, the Jesuit High School Sacramento football team defeated the Cosumnes Oaks High School Wolfpack 28-7. The game was a great show of strength, and a great boon for confidence as Jesuit looks towards Friday, Oct. 21, when they take on Elk Grove High School in the Delta League Championship.
Jesuit football remains undefeated in league play with win against Franklin
On Saturday, Oct. 8, the varsity football team of Jesuit High School Sacramento won a home game against Franklin High School. The final score was 62-7, which boosts Jesuit’s overall record to 6-1 while also maintaining an undefeated record in the Delta League (3-0).
Clayton Valley outmatches Jesuit’s varsity football team
On Saturday, Oct. 1, Jesuit High School Sacramento’s varsity football team played a non-league game against Clayton Valley High School. Jesuit lost 35-21.
Jesuit showcases football skills with win against Pleasant Grove
On Sept. 23, Jesuit High School Sacramento’s varsity football team won 49-0 in an away game against Pleasant Grove High School. The win was a great showcase of skill for many players on Jesuit’s team.
Jesuit football pulls off a hard earned win against Sheldon
On Saturday, Jesuit High School Sacramento varsity football team defeated the Sheldon High School Huskies at home 35 to 21. It was a back and forth game, but in the end, Jesuit was able to pull out a hard earned win against a tough opponent.
Jesuit defeats rival Christian Brothers at 51st Holy Bowl
On Saturday, Sept. 10, during the 51st annual Holy Bowl, Jesuit High School Sacramento’s varsity football team defeated cross-town rival Christian Brothers High School 21-7.
Jesuit quickly asserted themselves late in the first quarter with a touchdown to start off the scoring. By the fourth quarter, the Marauders were firmly in the lead.
Jesuit prepares for an exciting Holy Bowl
The 53rd annual Holy Bowl is this Saturday, Sept. 10, at Sacramento City College’s Hughes Stadium. After last year’s lopsided 44-0 victory against Christian Brothers High School, Jesuit High School Sacramento is ready for another great game.

Jesuit’s Varsity Football Team sees brotherhood as the path to greatness
In the 2021-2022 season, the Jesuit High School, Sacramento Varsity Football Team had six wins and zero losses in the Delta League, including a 44-0 victory versus Christian Brothers High School in the Holy Bowl. Including non-league games, the team ended the season with a 10-2 record. They lost only to Folsom High School, last year’s Northern California football champions. This year’s varsity team’s first game will be against Bishop Manogue High School on Friday, Aug. 26, in Reno, Nevada.
